In Kimberley Donley's centerfold (March 1993) she's seated on her bed, 
waiting for us to make the next move.

The best thing this centerfold has going for it is its sense of 
elegance. Kim's shoes, her earrings, and most of all those lovely golden 
tresses played out against the black background remind me of the rich 
who aren't like you and me (to quote Fitzgerald). Playboy has often 
tried to associate itself with this kind of elegance, but all too often 
comes across as a Midwestern, middle class dream of what elegance is. 
Here Kim's teddy could bring us back to that Montgomery Ward 
interpretation of style if we let it, but we don't have to.

It's optional because of Kim's wonderful expression. A glance through 
the Cyber Portfolio shows that catching that real killer look from Kim 
is a sometime thing, but we get it here in spades.

Apart from the sense of elegance and Kim's wonderful expression and 
overall attractiveness, I'm afraid this centerfold leaves me cold. It's 
not ugly, it's not unflattering to Kim, it's just one that's difficult 
to blather on for 200 words over. The alternate pose I probably could 
write about with much less difficulty. As good as the centerfold is, I 
wonder why it was picked over other poses.
