(Insert other cliches here) This centerfold is full of really good ideas that never really pan out. Posing Carrie in white, against a white sail with black lettering on the oiled teak of a ship's deck was a truly inspired choice. But . . . The "U.S.A." on her shirt lines up exactly with her left nipple. The result is that a quick glance makes her seem oddly deformed. Higher, lower, shorter, further from the nipple - all would have worked well. Her pose looks like she fell off the mast, laying here in great pain, and is only able to manage a wan smile. Several alternate poses in this same location and costume come to mind as a better way to show off Carrie's lovely form. One thing that was done exactly right was the lighting on Carrie's skin. It is so warm and inviting I can easily imagine running my hands over it. Filtered or unfiltered, the color of the light brings out her lovely even tan, making it even more desirable. Matching the teak is an added bonus.
