In Elan Carter's centerfold (June 1994) we catch her eye as the two of
us are waking up, having spent the night together. She's making it
quite clear the "night" isn't over yet .

Setting the brown skin and black hair of Elan against an almost
pure-white background was a great choice. The white really focuses our
attention on Elan while providing a background and a sense of place to
the centerfold. For no larger than what it is, the small vial of
yellow oil on the dresser provides a great deal of balance to
Elan. This allows her to lean forward, flattering her breasts, without
making it look so much like she's about to tip over. The only downside
is that Elan's right arm disappears. Her right hand, which extends the
diagonal line of her torso, has no clear connection to the rest of her
body.

Elan is one hundred percent with the program here, and one hundred
percent sexual without being crude. She is in charge, confident and
certain, yet manages to portray this in a non-threatening
manner. She's not bitchy; she's an adult who knows what she wants. So
much for the "Playboy only shows submissive women" theory!
