In Brooke Berry's centerfold (May 2000) she's got the keys to Dad's 
perfectly restored 21-window sunroof "splittie" VW Van, and we're about 
to find out why it's called the "Love Bus".

Putting this pre-1968 VW in the picture was excellent, as the style, 
feel and mood of this centerfold all hark back 30 to 35 years. First, 
the color tones on the bus and in the sweater are all pure and direct. 
Secondly there is the one-to-one connection between model and viewer, 
with no photographer making his presence known. Thirdly, there is the 
stunningly beautiful Girl-Next-Door with nothing to hide.

Especially over the last 25 years, a Playmate is posed to highlight her 
entire body. This time around, it's all about Brooke's breasts. The 
hair, the legs, the smile are all in the same league, but it's the 
breasts that are front and center. There's an obvious bend to her back - 
I doubt she stands like this very often - but it's subtle enough that 
she looks perfect. Two degrees more and she'd start to look silly.

Holding this centerfold back is a heavy hand with Photoshop. Not as bad 
as it was later, but still it has no place here.
