In Irina Voronina's centerfold (January 2001) she's stepping out of the 
shower. There is no doubt as to what is going to happen next.

David Chan has said the secret to a good centerfold is the eyes. Here is 
the proof of the pudding. Irina's icy blues pierce through the camera, 
the film and the photographer right to the viewer. She's also stepping 
out of the shower stall directly towards us, with no alternate path 
possible. It's an intimate, one-to-one connection, and is the sole 
source of this centerfold's "4.0" erotic rating.

O.K., maybe not the sole source. Irina plays a hand as well, with an 
exceptional figure that gives us a reason to shell out the bucks for a 
chance to see her naked, even with all the limitations of the printed 
page or computer screen.

Red can easily be overdone, but here it works. I think it's the 
particular shade of the tile as well as its fullness and richness. That 
it does so well with Irina's complexion is also a big bonus. Almost 
every other centerfold in 2001 was based on blue or a combination of 
blue and tan, and this makes for a pleasant change.
