In Stephanie Glasson's centerfold (July 2004) she's sitting on the
keyboard, suggesting a symphony of delightful possibilities.

Over the years Playboy has tried several centerfolds that called on a
French Provincial setting. This is a reflection of my personal taste,
but I never found any of them satisfying. Here a touch of blue changes
all, and the background colors provide an excellent setting for
Stephanie's long silver hair and striking tan.

For some reason, probably Stephanie's hair, this centerfold reminds me
of Liv Lindeland's. That one is famous for the appearance of pubic
hair. This one shows a more recent frontier in Playboy's presentation
of beautiful women.

There is a strong geometrical structure here, with dramatic lines
running form lower right to mid left, and then Stephanie's torso
vertical in the rest of the frame. The point behind this, besides
making a pretty picture, is how well her legs and figure are shown off
as a result.

A couple of problems remain. Stephanie's smile seems forced in all her
shots. Maybe a different expression?

Secondly this photograph suffers from a lack of depth and clarity that
were once centerfold hallmarks. Whoever thought the current production
system was adequate was wrong.
